Deputy PM of Uzbekistan, FM of Kyrgyzstan discuss issues of holding the upcoming Consultative Meeting of the Heads of Central Asian States in Bishkek
As part of the working visit of the Deputy PM – Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade of Uzbekistan Sardor Umurzakov, he met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Ruslan Kazakbayev in Bishkek, Kun.uz correspondent reports.
According to the “Kabar” Kyrgyz National News Agency, during the meeting the parties discussed topical issues of bilateral cooperation, the implementation of previously reached agreements in the trade-economic and investment spheres. They noted the need to further intensify cooperation in order to increase mutual trade and bring the volume of trade up to $2 billion. In this regard, the importance of creating and opening the Uzbek-Kyrgyz Development Fund was noted, which will have a positive impact on economic development, expanding cooperation ties between business representatives of the two countries.
The parties also exchanged views on the current situation in the world, the international and regional agenda, discussed issues of upcoming foreign policy events at the highest and high levels, as well as holding a Consultative Meeting of the Heads of Central Asian States in Kyrgyzstan and the upcoming Central Asia-OSCE High-Level Conference in Bishkek.
