Murod Azimov confirmed as khokim of Kashkadarya region

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev has nominated Murod Azimov, who has been acting khokim of Kashkadarya region since November 2021, for the post of khokim.

According to the results of voting, M. Azimov was confirmed as the khokim of Kashkadarya region.

Murodjon Azimov was born in 1976 in Kitob district,Kashkadarya region. In 1998, he graduated from the Tashkent Law Institute.

He worked as an investigator in the Karshi city prosecutor’s office, a prosecutor in the Kashkadarya regional prosecutor’s office, and later as a deputy regional prosecutor and a district prosecutor.

In 2014, he was appointed prosecutor of Bukhara region, where he worked until 2016. Since September 2016, he has served as Deputy Prosecutor General of Uzbekistan.

Major General Murod Azimov was appointed Chairman of the Customs Committee in February 2018, and in November 2021, he was appointed acting khokim of Kashkadarya region.
