Hungary provides additional scholarships to students from Uzbekistan
On May 4, 2022, Acting Foreign Minister of Uzbekistan Vladimir Norov held talks with the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary Péter Szijjártó.
The parties noted that the meeting of the Uzbek-Hungarian intergovernmental commission on economic cooperation was fruitful.
During the talks, the sides discussed the bilateral agenda and topical issues of cooperation within the framework of international and regional organizations.
The importance of continuing the high-level dialogue was stressed. It was noted that the next round of political consultations between the foreign ministries should be held this year.
Norov and Szijjártó commended the current pace of cultural and humanitarian cooperation, especially in the field of education. The Foreign Minister of Hungary announced the allocation of additional scholarships for Uzbek students to study in higher educational institutions of the country.
The Hungarian side highly appreciated the efforts of Uzbekistan to strengthen stability in the region and promote the peace process in Afghanistan.
It was stated that both sides are equally interested in developing cooperation within the framework of the UN, the European Union, the OSCE and the Organization of Turkic States.
