Statistics Committee names most densely populated district of Tashkent
As of April 1, 2022, the permanent population of Tashkent was 2,879,800.

According to the State Statistics Committee, since the beginning of the year, the population has increased by 17.4 thousand people, or 0.6%. Among Tashkent residents, 1,411,800 are men and 1,468,000 – women.
In the context of districts, the largest population lives in Almazar – 387.7 thousand people (13.5% of the population).
The population of the Yunusabad district is 360.9 thousand people, or 12.5%.
The smallest population was registered in the Yakkasaray district – 124.6 thousand people (4.3%) and in the Bektemir district – 51.8 thousand people (1.8%).
