According to them, monitoring of surface waters is carried out every month at 59 water facilities, 85 stations, at 107 observation points, on 43 components.
The results of the analysis showed that 90% of the quality indicators of pollution of water facilities are moderately polluted (class 3) or polluted (class 4), and 10% of water facilities belong to the category of clean water (class 2).
According to Uzhydromet, the Zeravshan, Chirchik, Salar rivers, Siyab, Shurozak and GPSK collectors are registered as the most polluted water facilities in Uzbekistan.
It also became known that monitoring of soil pollution is carried out annually in the spring and autumn seasons of 212 farms located in 107 districts of the Republic of Karakalpakstan and regions. In addition, monitoring is carried out in 14 industrial cities on 20 indicators.
Long-term analyzes showed that in Andijan (1.3-3.7) and Fergana (1.3-2) regions, soil contamination with residual amounts of organochlorine pesticides was observed and exceeded rare earth metals (REM).
