“Our specialists are completing the restoration of the airport in Mazar-i-Sharif,” Daniyar Kurbanov, director of the Information and Analytical Center for International Relations under the MFA of Uzbekistan, said on Tuesday, speaking at the II Central Asian Conference of the Valdai International Discussion Club.
Daniyar Kurbanov noted that Tashkent is doing a lot to restore Afghanistan as a historical bridge between Central and South Asia.
“Afghanistan receives more than 30% of imports through the Uzbek transport and logistics hub in Termez. Uzbekistan is supplying electricity to Kabul,” he said.
Earlier it was reported that specialists from Uzbekistan, at the request of the Afghan side, are reconstructing the international airport in Mazar-i-Sharif.
