Uzbekistan, Belgium eye to intensify bilateral ties in all areas
The delegation of Uzbekistan, which is in Brussels, headed by Deputy Foreign Minister Gayrat Fozilov, met yesterday with Director General for Bilateral Relations of the Belgian Foreign Ministry Jeroen Kooreman.
During the meeting, the state and prospects of bilateral cooperation between Uzbekistan and Belgium were discussed. The parties noted with satisfaction the dynamics of the development of relations between the countries in the political, economic and cultural-humanitarian spheres.
The business mission of Belgian business circles to Uzbekistan in November 2021, organized by the Walloon Export and Foreign Investment Agency (AWEX) and the Flanders Investment and Trade Agency (FIT), was especially emphasized. At the same time, the presence of untapped potential in the field of foreign trade and investment was noted.
Readiness was expressed to intensify bilateral ties in all areas. An agreement was reached to hold the next round of political consultations between Uzbekistan and Belgium in the second half of 2022 in Tashkent.
