Uzbekistan, Poland cooperate in field of intelligent transport systems
The delegation of the Ministry of Transport of Uzbekistan and Tashkent State Transport University took part in the 14th Congress on Intelligent Transport Systems, held in Poland.
The event was organized by the Association of Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) of Poland. During the congress, representatives of companies in the field of ITS, public authorities and management of public transport and road services, as well as universities and research institutes discussed the application of the latest technologies in transport. 4 sessions were held, including: “Application of ITS systems in cities”, “Use of big data in transport”, “ITS technologies in public transport” and “Artificial intelligence in ITS (ITS solution architecture)” and 4 discussion panels.
Following the results of the congress, the delegation of Uzbekistan and the leadership of the Association of Intelligent Transport Systems of Poland signed a Cooperation Agreement. According to the document, an educational and scientific-practical laboratory on ITS for students, undergraduates and graduate students will be created at the Tashkent State Transport University.
During the meeting at the State Academy of Applied Sciences, issues of future partnership, the possibility of implementing joint educational programs, drawing up consolidated curricula, and teaching Uzbek students in Polish educational institutions were discussed.
As a result of the meeting, an agreement was reached on preparing for the signing of a bilateral Cooperation Agreement, under which two free places will be allocated annually for Uzbek students to study practical aviation and control aircraft.
