Customs Committee issues compliance alert for cargo carriers transiting through Poland
The Customs Committee of Uzbekistan has issued an official advisory directed at entrepreneurs and foreign economic activity participants engaged in international freight transport through the territory of the Republic of Poland.
Logistics companies and drivers are strongly advised to thoroughly familiarize themselves with the operational requirements of Poland’s digital tracking framework, known as the SENT electronic monitoring system, before arranging transit. Under the regulations of this platform, all entities involved in the logistics chain, including the carrier, the sender, and the recipient, must pre-register detailed electronic documentation regarding the movement of goods prior to transit.
The Customs Committee warned that non-compliance with these digital entry mandates is highly likely to disrupt transport operations. Specifically, failure to input the required data into the SENT system beforehand can lead to the immediate detention of commercial vehicles at the Polish border, significant cargo delivery delays, and the imposition of heavy financial penalties.
To prevent unnecessary operational downtime and unexpected financial losses, the committee has urged all domestic businesses to integrate these mandatory Polish regulatory procedures directly into their international logistics planning.
