Kyrgyzstan’s security service uncovers underground tunnel leading to the territory of Uzbekistan
The entrance to the tunnel turned out to be in the courtyard of a mentally ill Kyrgyzstani.
In the village of Telman, Kara-Suu district, Osh region, an underground tunnel connecting Kyrgyzstan with Uzbekistan has been discovered, Kyrgyz local media reports with reference to the State Committee for National Security.
The entrance to the tunnel is located 40 meters from the border line, its length is 270 meters, dimensions - 1.8 m high and 1.5 m wide.
With regard to the owner of the site in which the tunnel was discovered, it is planned to conduct a second examination for sanity, due to the fact that this person is currently in the Kyzyl-Zhar psychiatric hospital of the Jalal-Abad region.
Currently, weapons and objects of crime are being seized, the State Committee for National Security of Kyrgyzstan reports.
