According to the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation, the grants will be distributed among the four countries as follows: Kazakhstan – 20 places, Kyrgyzstan – 20, Tajikistan – 20 and Mongolia – 10.

For applicants from Kyrgyzstan, the available undergraduate programs include preschool education, computer engineering, agronomy, water management and land reclamation, environmental protection and civil engineering.

According to Kyrgyz news agency Kabar, Osh State University will conduct the selection of candidates for the allocated places.

Classes at Uzbek state universities will be taught in Uzbek and Russian. Since Uzbek-language instruction uses the Latin alphabet, applicants’ knowledge of the Latin script will also be taken into account. Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in their chosen language of instruction and take tests in two specialized subjects. The entrance examination will be graded on a five-point scale.

Applications will be accepted until August 22, 2026. Entrance examinations will be held at 8:00 a.m. on August 24 at the main academic building of Osh State University.

Applicants must submit an application form, a copy of their secondary or specialized secondary vocational education certificate or diploma, a copy of their passport, a medical certificate in Russian in the prescribed format and a photograph.

Uzbekistan began allocating annual grants to young people from Kyrgyzstan to study at leading Uzbek universities in priority fields in 2021.
