The figure, which includes total bank deposits and cash in circulation, increased by nearly UZS 118.8 trillion, or 37%, compared with a year earlier, according to the Central Bank.

More than 83% of the total money supply is denominated in the national currency.

The money supply first exceeded UZS 400 trillion in June, reaching UZS 411.4 trillion. A year earlier, in June 2025, it stood at UZS 300 trillion.

That means the country’s money supply has more than doubled over the past three years.

Cash in circulation also reached a new record at the beginning of August, rising to UZS 76.3 trillion. This was UZS 16.4 trillion, or around 27%, higher than a year earlier.

The Central Bank’s first published figure for the money supply was recorded on February 1, 2013, at UZS 24.4 trillion.

By the beginning of 2024, the figure had risen to UZS 242.2 trillion, representing an almost tenfold increase over 11 years.
