Finance Ministry comments on reports about increase in tariffs for electricity and gas

According to the press service of the Ministry of Finance, at present, the relevant departments are preparing a draft resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers "On changing prices and tariffs for fuel and energy resources."

According to the agency, this document is aimed at reforming the energy sector in order to provide the population and sectors of the economy with high-quality, uninterrupted electricity and natural gas.

During the process of work, the draft document will be published on the Single Portal for discussion. Opinions and proposals of Uzbeks will be taken into account.

Earlier it was reported that the energy sector is being reformed in Uzbekistan. Measures will be taken in the sphere to support socially vulnerable segments of the population, including recipients of pensions and child benefits. There will also be a “social norm” for energy resources.
