Sodiq Safoyev receives EBRD deputy director 

According to the information service of the parliamentary upper house, at the meeting, the current state and prospects for deepening cooperation between Uzbekistan and the EBRD were discussed.

The head of the EBRD delegation emphasized the scale of the transformations and reforms being carried out in Uzbekistan aimed at improving the living standards of the population, reducing poverty, and ensuring gender equality.

The parties noted the high level of interaction between Uzbekistan and the EBRD achieved in recent years.

Jonathan Aves confirmed the readiness of the EBRD to fully support the achievement of the goals of the New Uzbekistan Development Strategy.

Following the meeting, an agreement was reached to continue fruitful cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
