Uzbekistan continues to develop partnership with EAEU as an observer
Uzbekistan continues to develop partnerships with the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) as an observer and is committed to further cooperation.
This was stated on Friday, May 27, by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev during a speech via video link at a meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council of the EAEU, TASS reports.
“Uzbekistan continues to develop partnerships with the Eurasian Economic Union as an observer. This is a very important area for us since the EAEU countries are our natural partners,” Mirziyoyev said.
He reaffirmed Uzbekistan’s commitment to the progressive development of mutually beneficial cooperation with the Eurasian Economic Union.
“I am sure that the results of today’s meeting will further strengthen the multifaceted partnership, sustainable economic development in the EAEU countries and the growth of prosperity in the region,” he stressed.
Mirziyoyev called on the EAEU countries to remove technical barriers to market access.
“Today, more than ever, the task of creating favorable conditions for building up trade and economic cooperation, further eliminating technical barriers and recognizing certification in mutual trade between Uzbekistan and the EAEU countries is acute,” he said.
