Uzbek-Latvian companies increasing cooperation in provision and export of IT services on an outsourcing basis
On May 27, the signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Cooperation between the resident company IT-Park Uzbekistan NAPA Automotive and one of the major Latvian software developers Corporate Solutions, which is a member of the Latvian IT-Cluster, took place in the capital of Latvia.
The event was attended by Ambassador of Uzbekistan Kadambay Sultanov, State Secretary of the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Regional Development of Latvia Edvins Balsevics and Director General of the Department of Economic Relations, Trade and Development Cooperation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Juris Shtalmeistars.
The document lays the foundation for practical cooperation between IT companies of Uzbekistan and Latvia in the field of training in-demand specialists in the field of information technology, including with the prospect of connecting them to the chains of providing IT services and exporting them on an outsourcing basis.
The Uzbek side was also officially awarded a symbolic certificate for the free use of the CloudStudy online platform worth 100,000 euros, which allows teaching safe Internet skills.
According to the Embassy, the signed Memorandum is the practical implementation of the relevant points of the Uzbek-Latvian “Roadmap” and the agreements reached during the February visit to Uzbekistan of a business delegation headed by Foreign Minister Edgars Rinkevics, which included representatives of the Latvian IT-Cluster.
