Vladimir Norov to take part in third meeting of foreign ministers in “Central Asia – China” format
On June 8, Acting FM of Uzbekistan Vladimir Norov will take part in the third ministerial meeting in the “Central Asia – China” format, which will be held in the city of Nur-Sultan.
According to the Foreign Ministry, during the event, the parties plan to discuss ways to implement the initiatives announced by the heads of state on January 25 at the “Central Asia – China” online summit on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations, as well as topical issues of further expanding multilateral cooperation in political-diplomatic, trade-economic, transport and cultural-humanitarian spheres.
During the visit, bilateral meetings with the heads of delegations of this format are also planned.
It should be recalled that the second ministerial meeting in the “China – Central Asia” format was held on May 12, 2021 in the city of Xi’an (PRC). The Foreign Ministers discussed topical issues of strengthening mutual trust, further promoting mutually beneficial cooperation, implementing joint projects, promoting transport connectivity and ensuring the continuity of trade, deepening relations to ensure regional security and counter modern challenges and threats.
