A large South Korean business delegation expected to visit Uzbekistan in July
Uzbek diplomats held a meeting in Seoul with the First Deputy Chairman of the Korean-Uzbek Business Association Kim Chang Keon.
The parties discussed the current state and issues of expanding cooperation in the trade-economic and investment spheres.
Kim Chang Keon announced plans to organize a visit to Uzbekistan in July, in particular to the Tashkent and Syrdarya regions, of a delegation of leaders and representatives of leading companies, organizations and the media of the Republic of Korea. This visit is dedicated to the celebration of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries and is aimed at the practical expansion and deepening of cooperation in trade-economic, financial-technical and investment fields.
The South Korean delegation will include about 200 people.
The program of the visit provides for a wide informing of the leading companies and organizations of the Republic of Korea, aimed at entering the market of Uzbekistan, about the investment climate of the country and the huge market of Uzbekistan for trade relations through business forums, B2G-, B2B-meetings and negotiations in the Tashkent and Syrdarya regions, as well as familiarization with the activities of free economic and industrial zones and promising projects of these regions.
According to Kim Chang Keon, at the end of the business forums in the two regions of Uzbekistan, a large package of trade and investment agreements, as well as memorandums on the implementation of promising joint projects, are expected to be signed. Kim Chang Keon also thanked the Embassy for its assistance in organizing this visit and the events planned within its framework.
Following the meeting, the parties determined further steps for joint action to effectively prepare the program for this visit.
