Date for resumption of passenger railway communication between Russia and Uzbekistan announced
From June 23, Russian Railways (RJD) will resume passenger rail service with Uzbekistan, which was suspended in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the RJD press service reported.

“We are resuming passenger railway communication with Uzbekistan. In June, the international trains of the formation of the State Enterprise NC Uzbekistan Railways will return to the schedule,” the report reads.
From June 23, train No. 5/6 “Tashkent – Samara” will start running once a week from Tashkent (on Thursdays) and from Samara (on Sundays), and from June 25 – train No. 323/324 “Tashkent – Volgograd” will depart once a week from Tashkent (on Saturdays) and from Volgograd (on Tuesdays).
Ticket sales for these trains will be open soon. It will be possible to purchase them 45 days before departure.
It is noted that all previously existing sanitary restrictions for citizens of the Russian Federation and Uzbekistan when entering the countries have been lifted, a PCR test is not required.
