FM Vladimir Norov receives Ambassador of France
On June 17, the Minister of Foreign Affairs Vladimir Norov received the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the French Republic to the country Aurelia Bouchez.
At the meeting, the parties discussed the current state of bilateral relations and prospects for strengthening cooperation between Uzbekistan and France. Particular attention was paid to the interaction of the parties within the framework of multilateral structures, taking into account the presidency of Paris in the Council of the European Union.
As noted, the upcoming visit of the French business association "Medef International" is expected to intensify trade and economic relations and substantively boost the implementation of promising investment projects in Uzbekistan with the participation of French business circles.
The sides expressed mutual interest in expanding cultural and humanitarian cooperation, taking into account the planned exhibitions “The Splendor of Central Asia. On the caravan routes of Uzbekistan” at the Louvre Museum and “Kaftans and Chapans” at the Institute of the Arab World in Paris in November 2022.
An exchange of views also took place on certain topics of international and regional character.
