Ilham Aliyev completes his state visit to Uzbekistan
President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has completed his state visit to Uzbekistan.
According to the press service of the head of state, the presidents held fruitful negotiations.
After seeing off the distinguished guest at the airport, Shavkat Mirziyoyev returned to work.
Aliyev arrived in Uzbekistan on June 21 at the invitation of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
The state visit of the President of Azerbaijan began with the opening of a street in Tashkent named after Heydar Aliyev and a memorial bas-relief. Then, Aliyev, accompanied by Mirziyoyev, visited the New Uzbekistan Park and laid flowers at the Independence Monument.
Later, a solemn ceremony of welcoming the President of Azerbaijan took place at the Kuksaroy residence.
Following the negotiations held in Kuksaroy, a ceremony of signing bilateral documents was held. Mirziyoyev and Aliyev signed a declaration on deepening strategic partnership
In addition, on June 21 in Tashkent, the presidents of Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan held a briefing for media representatives following the talks.
Also on June 21, Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Ilham Aliyev planted a tree in the alley of honored guests of the Kuksaroy residence.
The President of Azerbaijan visited Khorezm region on June 22. Mirziyoyev and Aliyev toured the city of Khiva.
