Law enforcement bodies burn nearly 2 tons of drugs in Tashkent
Almost 2 tons of seized narcotic drugs and psychotropic drugs were destroyed in the capital on the International Day against Drugs.
Today, June 27, another batch of narcotic drugs confiscated by law enforcement agencies was destroyed by burning.
This action was timed to coincide with the International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Traffic, celebrated on June 26, as well as within the framework of the plan for the implementation of the month of the fight against drug addiction.
In total, 1 ton 933 kg 695 g of drugs were burned in a special oven, including:
• 133 kg 713.5 g of heroin;
• 159 kg 478 g of opium;
• over 1 ton of hashish;
• 300 kg 786 g of marijuana;
• 79 kg 842.5 g poppy straw (kuknar);
• 247 kg 150.4 g cannabis;
• various psychotropic and psychoactive substances in the form of tablets and solutions.
It is noted that last year about 1 ton 864 kg of narcotic drugs were destroyed. At the same time, 131 people who committed drug-related crimes were foreigners. 567.1 kg of narcotic drugs, 1299 tablets of psychotropic substances and 157 units of psychoactive drugs were confiscated from them.
