Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan discuss strengthening strategic partnership
Acting Foreign Minister of Uzbekistan Vladimir Norov had a telephone conversation on July 6 with his counterpart from Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov.
During the conversation, the parties discussed in detail topical issues of further strengthening the strategic partnership between the two countries.
The sides voiced mutual interest in intensifying efforts to implement the agreements reached during the state visit of Ilham Aliyev to Uzbekistan.
The ministers agreed on a schedule of upcoming events, including the organization of a trilateral meeting in the Uzbekistan-Azerbaijan-Turkey format in Tashkent.
Jeyhun Bayramov expressed Azerbaijan’s full support for the measures taken by the leadership of Uzbekistan to ensure peace, stability and sustainable development in Karakalpakstan.
