More students coming to Uzbekistan to pursue higher education – Statistics Committee

The State Statistics Committee has provided data on the number of foreign students studying at higher education institutions in Uzbekistan.

According to the committee, the figure is increasing incrementally over the past years:

— 2016/2017 academic year – 603 people
— 2017/2018 academic year – 1,320 people
— 2018/2019 academic year – 2,685 people
— 2019/2020 academic year – 3,593 people
— 2020/2021 academic year – 4,219 people
— 2021/2022 academic year – 5,140 people

As of January 1, 2020, 53 thousand students from Uzbekistan are studying abroad.
