More students coming to Uzbekistan to pursue higher education – Statistics Committee

According to the committee, the figure is increasing incrementally over the past years:

— 2016/2017 academic year – 603 people
— 2017/2018 academic year – 1,320 people
— 2018/2019 academic year – 2,685 people
— 2019/2020 academic year – 3,593 people
— 2020/2021 academic year – 4,219 people
— 2021/2022 academic year – 5,140 people

As of January 1, 2020, 53 thousand students from Uzbekistan are studying abroad.
