On July 26, Komil Allamjonov, who was appointed deputy head of the Presidential Administration, made a statement on his appointment.
“While thanking the head of our state for the trust shown to me, I would like to emphasize that I consider this a very big responsibility,” he noted.
Allamjonov announced that he has completed his work as Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Public Fund for Support and Development of National Mass Media, and that a new chairman will be appointed soon.
Allamjonov, who became a civil servant, said that he will also leave his businesses.
“From today, I will hand over all my business projects and companies to other owners. From today, I am not a businessperson. Because I am completely against the conflict of interests and I advise others to do the same,” the new deputy head of the Presidential Administration said.
The media functionary noted that the level of freedom of speech will rise in Uzbekistan.
“A new chairman will be appointed to our fund soon. And I think the politics of freedom of speech and openness will go even higher. Because according to the words of the head of our country, these reforms will only move forward.
That’s why I call on all bloggers and journalists to be more active, work on themselves and continue to spread impartial information,” Komil Allamjonov concluded.
