Uzbekistan and Turkey to develop cooperation in law enforcement sphere
Today, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev received the Minister of Internal Affairs of Turkey, Süleyman Soylu, who is in our country on a working visit.
According to the presidential press service, the meeting discussed development of practical cooperation in law enforcement and public security in the context of the implementation of agreements at the highest level.
At the beginning of the meeting, Minister Süleyman Soylu conveyed warm greetings and good wishes from Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan to the President of Uzbekistan.
The readiness of the Turkish side to establish a systemic interdepartmental partnership was emphasized in order to effectively coordinate efforts and counter modern security challenges.
During the conversation, special attention was paid to the issues of continuing active contacts, exchanging information and studying best practices, holding joint activities to combat organized crime, including in cyberspace, terrorism, religious extremism, drug trafficking and illegal migration.
