School director who involved teachers in forced labor punished in Namangan
The school director threatened more than 10 teachers with dismissal and forcibly involved them in landscaping in the school area.
Earlier, there were reports on social networks that schoolteachers were forced to clean ditches during the summer vacation.
The Namangan Regional General Directorate of Employment conducted a study on the situation, the press service of the Labor Ministry reported.
Reportedly, in June and July 2022, the director of general secondary education school No. 51 of Turakurgan district threatened more than 10 schoolteachers and other employees with dismissal. The official forcibly involved them in landscaping in the school area.
The director was imposed a fine (15,000,000 soums) in accordance with Article 51-1 of the Administrative Responsibility Code.
