Uzbekistan’s Minister of Transport proposes to develop a multimodal route “APR countries – China – Kyrgyzstan – Uzbekistan – Turkmenistan – Azerbaijan – Georgia/Turkey – EU”
In his speech at the first Meeting of Ministers of Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan and Turkey, the Minister of Transport of our country, Ilkhom Makhkamov, proposed to combine efforts to develop a multimodal route “APR countries – China – Kyrgyzstan – Uzbekistan – Turkmenistan – Azerbaijan – Georgia/Turkey – EU”, connecting East and West.

“It is gratifying to report that on this route, in 2021, cargo transportation from Uzbekistan to Turkey doubled compared to 2020 and amounted to about 1,000 containers. At the same time, there is also a positive trend in the growth of cargo transportation in the first half of this year with an increase in the volume of cargo transportation by 70%,” the minister said.
