Kazakhstan prevents illegal export of 280 tons of AI-95 gasoline to Uzbekistan
Five tank cars with AI-95 gasoline were declared under the guise of a fuel additive for illegal import into Uzbekistan.
The Financial Monitoring Agency of Kazakhstan prevented an attempt to illegally export AI-95 gasoline to Uzbekistan, the agency said.
In total, 5 tank cars with 280 tons of AI-95 gasoline worth almost 90 million tenge were detained. The petrol was being taken out of the country under the guise of a fuel anti-knock additive.
Studying the samples, experts identified the product.
The report says that under the terms of the contract, it was planned to illegally export 50,000 tons of gasoline from Kazakhstan to an Uzbek company for a total of $45 million.
Currently, law enforcement bodies are investigating the case.
