Gulistan-Kokand bus service passing through Tajikistan to be restored
After years of hiatus, bus service between Gulistan and Kokand following a route through the territory of Tajikistan is being restored.
The service will connect Syrdarya region with the Fergana Valley.
According to the transport department of Syrdarya region, the bus will depart daily at 8:00 from the city of Gulistan, passing through the city of Yangiyer, the Khovosabad border customs post in the city of Khovos, then through the territory of Tajikistan, and cross the Andarkhan border customs post of the Fergana region to reach Kokand.
The length of the route is 264.3 kilometers, the travel time is 4-5 hours. The fare is expected to be around 50,000 soums. Passengers are required to carry a passport.
Buses will run in both directions once a day.
It is noted that taking passengers on the road in the territory of Tajikistan is prohibited.
