Citizens of Afghanistan with fake British passports detained at Tashkent airport
The passengers introduced themselves as citizens of Afghanistan and admitted that they had acquired fake passports while in Tajikistan.
On August 5, eight passengers of the Tashkent-London flight with fake British passports were detained at the Tashkent International Airport, the press service of the MIA Security Department at Transport and Tourism Facilities reports.
During the inspection, the passengers introduced themselves as citizens of Afghanistan and admitted that they illegally acquired fake passports of British citizens while in Tajikistan. Thus, the offenders wanted to fly from Uzbekistan to London.
On this fact, a criminal case was initiated against the above persons under paragraph “b” of Article 228-2 (Manufacture, forgery of documents, stamps, seals, forms, their sale or use), paragraphs “b, v” of Article 223-2 (Illegal departure abroad or illegal entry into the Republic of Uzbekistan) of the Criminal Code.
