116 people died in workplaces over six months due to lack of proper working conditions – Ministry of Labor
In the first half of the year, 398 accidents occurred due to a lack of decent working conditions at workplaces. As a result, 116 people died and 317 people were injured.

“Most accidents occurred in the city of Tashkent (86), as well as in Tashkent (60) and Navoi (47) regions,” the Ministry of Labor said.
“According to Article 33 of the Law on Labor Protection, the employer must fully compensate the damage caused to the life and health of the employee in accordance with the established procedure,” the ministry noted.
Earlier, it was reported that since the beginning of 2022, studies have been conducted in more than 14,000 organizations and enterprises, and 41,150 cases of violations of the law have been detected. Accordingly, 5,935 officials were fined 12 billion 57 million soums. It was noted that violations of the law occur more often in Kashkadarya, Samarkand, Namangan, Tashkent and Fergana regions.
