Mirziyoyev and Putin discuss strengthening strategic partnership and alliance between Uzbekistan and Russia

During the talks, the parties discussed strengthening bilateral relations of strategic partnership and alliance, developing regional cooperation in the light of upcoming events at the highest level.
Particular attention was paid to the preparation and holding of meetings within the framework of the next meeting of the SCO Council of Heads of State, which will be held in mid-September this year in the city of Samarkand.
In addition, the presidents of Uzbekistan and Russia discussed the practical aspects of promoting joint projects and programs, primarily in the trade, economic and investment areas. The importance of continuing active contacts and exchanges at the level of governments and departments was noted.
The sides also supported the expansion of mutually beneficial cooperation between the regions of Uzbekistan and Russia. In this regard, great importance is attached to holding an interregional forum this autumn in Uzbekistan.
