Terms of mandatory technical inspection of cars to change from September 1
From September 1, 2022, the terms of technical inspection of light motor vehicles will change, the “Huquqiy axborot” (“Legal information”) channel reports.
According to the legislation, light motor vehicles that are “up to 10 years old” owned by individuals are subject to technical inspection on a voluntary basis.
Light motor vehicles are subject to mandatory technical inspection in the following periods:
ꞏ Light motor vehicles that are “11 to 14 years old” will be required to undergo mandatory technical inspection once every 2 years;
ꞏ Light motor vehicles that are “15 years old” and more - once a year.
In this case, these periods do not apply to light motor vehicles used in commercial passenger transport activities.
