Citizens asked not to visit Samarkand in mid-September
Residents of Uzbekistan are asked not to visit Samarkand on September 14, 15, 16 and 17.

Reportedly, a number of streets in Samarkand will be blocked for four days. During the indicated dates, entry into Samarkand will be limited, the press service of the Samarkand regional DIA said.
From September 14 to 17, the following streets will be blocked for vehicles in Samarkand: Ibn Sino, Bustonsaroy, Universitet Khiyoboni, Namozgokh, Sadriddin Ayniy, Registon, Rudakiy, Shokhizinda, Usto Umar Jurakulov, Islam Karimov, Afrosiyob, Beruniy, Mirzo- Ulugbek, Gulobod, Mukimiy and Dahbed.
Residents are asked not to visit the city on 14, 15, 16 and 17 September.
“During these days, entry into Samarkand will be temporarily restricted,” the report reads.
For information, the upcoming summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization will be held in Samarkand on September 15-16 this year.
