Russia ready to increase export of sunflower oil, sugar and wheat to Uzbekistan
Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Victoria Abramchenko held a meeting with Deputy PM - Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade of Uzbekistan Jamshid Khodjayev.
According to the press service of the Russian government, the parties discussed development of cooperation in the field of agriculture between the Russian Federation and the Republic of Uzbekistan, mutual supplies of agricultural products, as well as cooperation in the field of standardization.
Victoria Abramchenko noted the high potential for further development of mutual trade.
She stated that Russia is ready to increase the export of sunflower oil, sugar, confectionery, wheat, as well as assist in the implementation of joint projects.
In addition, during the meeting, the parties discussed integration of information systems in the field of plant quarantine through the Rosselkhoznadzor and the Plant Quarantine Committee.
Earlier it was reported that representatives of more than 40 regions of the Russian Federation would arrive in Uzbekistan on official visits by the end of the year.
