A video and a photo showing the process of a preventive conversation between employees of the internal affairs bodies, the school administration and students in the secondary school No. 142, located in the Mirzo Ulugbek district of Tashkent city, were spread on social networks. The case caused heated discussions.
According to the main DIA of Tashkent city, on September 10, at 08:30, a preventive interview was held among students on the “Attendance” and “Melee weapon” events with the participation of the school management and the inspector psychologists on juvenile issues.
During the preventive event, it was found that 11th grade student B.M. was carrying stationery scissors without a case. A photo showing schoolchildren being told that it is forbidden to carry cold weapons, including sharp objects, and that stationery scissors can be carried in a case in a bag for use in class, has been circulated on social networks.
Also, during the preventive conversation, the school principal explained to students the rules of wearing clothes at school and the importance of appearance.
On September 10, a video appeared in the “Porebitel.uz” Facebook group, where it was said that the senior students of the secondary school No. 142, located in the Mirzo Ulugbek district of Tashkent city, were being reprimanded for their hair length with the participation of internal affairs officers. The photo presented in the post shows an MIA employee holding scissors, which is why social network users speculated that police officers want to cut students’ hair at school.
