Shavkat Mirziyoyev holds talks with Prime Minister of Pakistan Shehbaz Sharif
The leaders of Uzbekistan and Pakistan discussed issues of further expanding bilateral partnership.

The President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a meeting with the Prime Minister of Pakistan Shehbaz Sharif, who arrived in Samarkand to participate in the SCO summit.
Mirziyoyev thanked Shehbaz Sharif for his participation in the summit in Samarkand. In turn, the Prime Minister of Pakistan expressed his gratitude to Uzbekistan for the warm welcome and the humanitarian assistance provided to the flood victims in his country.
The parties discussed trade-economic, investment and transport-transit cooperation issues in detail. It was noted that the indicators of mutual trade are growing. Last year, they increased by 47%, and by 10% since the beginning of this year. The number of joint ventures has reached 200.
Special attention was paid to the issues of expanding cooperation in the field of transport and logistics. The importance of speeding up the Trans-Afghan railway project, removing obstacles to trade, and creating favorable conditions for mutual delivery of goods was noted.
Current issues of international and regional importance were also considered at the meeting.
