Traffic police officers detain drug traffickers in Tashkent

The press service of the MIA Traffic Safety Department published information about the facts of the transportation of narcotic substances.

“On September 16, at 09:40, traffic police officers, while on duty at the Sharq traffic police post in the Bektemir district, stopped a Lacetti vehicle driven by citizen M.M. (born in 1994) for inspection. During an inspection of the car interior with the participation of attesting witnesses, a brown, resinous substance with a specific smell was found in a plastic bag. The fact was documented, citizen M.M. and the detected substance were transferred to the Bektemir district DIA.

On the same day, at 12:50, traffic police officers at the Yangikhayot checkpoint in the Yangikhayot district, inspected a Lacetti car with the participation of attesting witnesses, during which, a white powder with a characteristic odor was found in passenger U.U. (born in 1989) in 30 cellophane bags. On this fact, documents were drawn up, citizen U.U. and the detected substances were transferred to the Yangikhayot district DIA.

At 23:35 in the Bektemir district, while on duty, traffic police officers O. Usmonov and A. Utbosarov stopped a Nexia-3 car that was moving along Parkent Yuli Street. The check revealed the presence of a green, dried substance with a characteristic odor in the driver A.E. (born in 1964). The fact was documented in the prescribed manner, citizen A.E. and the detected substance were transferred to the Bektemir district DIA.

Also, on September 16 at 22:40, at the checkpoint M. Fozilov, located in the Almazar district, traffic police officers stopped a Spark car entering the capital. While checking the vehicle with the participation of attesting witnesses, it was discovered that driver S.J. (born in 2000) was carrying a green, dried, pungent substance in a matchbox, as well as a white powder with a specific smell in a plastic bag in his car. Relevant documents were drawn up on this fact, citizen S.J. and the detected substances were transferred to the Almazar district DIA,” the report reads.
