Jazeera Airways announced the launch of Kuwait-Namangan flight. Spot reports referring to Aviation Source.
The Kuwaiti airline will start flying on the new route from October 13. Flights will be operated three times a week – on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, with a return flight in the morning of the next day.
The first regular flight from Kuwait to Namangan “will provide access to new opportunities for tourism”, Rohit Ramachandran, CEO of the carrier, said.
Jazeera Airways received permission to fly to Uzbekistan in the spring of 2021, amid “growing trade relations”. Since last July, the low-cost airline has been flying between Kuwait and Tashkent.
Before that, two more Arab airlines expanded the number of flights to Uzbekistan. Saudi Flynas launched a service between Tashkent and Jeddah on September 15, and FlyDubai began flying from Dubai to Namangan.
In addition, WizzAir Abu Dhabi is expected to launch flights to the cities of Uzbekistan in the 4th quarter. At the first stage, it will connect the UAE capital with Tashkent and Samarkand.
For information, Jazeera Airways was founded in 2004 and has been listed on the Kuwait Stock Exchange since 2008. It specializes in low-cost air travel, flies throughout the Middle East and Europe. In 2018, it opened its own specialized terminal.
