First Central Asian cup of “Zakovat” was won by Kazakh intellects

On September 24-25, for the first time, the competition of the Central Asian Cup in the sport of “Zakovat” was held in Tashkent. 48 teams from Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan took part in the competition. The prize fund amounted to 200 million soums.

The championship was organized in cooperation with the Public Fund for Support and Development of National Mass Media and “Zakovat” NGO.

Tashkent Botanical Garden has become a sports ground where competitions are held. Here, all the necessary conditions have been created to hold the cup at a high level, to create comfort during the participants’ rest.

National teams from every country, as well as with the most famous teams participated in it. For example, in 2019, the players of the “Monopoly” team, the national champion in intellectual games, competed for the Kyrgyz Cup. From Kazakhstan – the current vice-champions (2019), as well as the champion of the second season of the Central Asian League “Erudit” team competed. In particular, two-time vice-champion “Avesta” team, as a representative of Tajikistan, became an enthusiast in heated competitions. There are many stars among the national teams of Uzbekistan. One of them was the “What? Where? When?” team.

On the first day of the competition, “Erudit quintet” participated in the qualifying games, “Brain ring” – quarter- and semi-final games. Also, two types of “Zakovat” game was held.

On the second day, the semi-finals and finals of “Erudit quintet”, the 3rd, 4th and 5th stages of “Zakovat” and the final of “Brain ring” were held and the final winners were determined.

The championship ended with a bright show-program, each performance of which is based on the symbiosis of the cultures of the peoples of Central Asia.

A ceremony of awarding the winners was held in the spirit of high spirits.

The team “Misteriya” took the third place and won 40 million soums. The award was presented by Khushnudbek Khudoyberdiyev, deputy director of the National Information Agency of Uzbekistan.

The second place was won by the “Biz” team of Uzbekistan. Nozima Davletova, director of the Public Fund for Support and Development of the National Mass Media, presented them with a cash prize of 60 million soums.

Winners of the competition – Kazakhstan’s team “Ordinary workers” were awarded the first prize in the amount of 100 million soums by the president of “Zakovat” intellectual movement Abdurasul Abdullayev.

The main prize was the charming performance of another “unplanned” team before the competition for the Cup – the legendary team of KVN “Azia Mix”.

In the last match for the main prize – the Cup, the national teams of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan met in a match of intellects.

Uzbekistan took the lead in the first round by 5 points. But then the players from Kazakhstan won 2 points. Nevertheless, our national team won the next question.

In the second round, the teams were tied. However, the advantage went to the guests and the score was 1:1. In the decisive third round, the Kazakh team fully deserved to win.

Komil Allamjonov, Deputy Head of the Administration of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, handed over the Cup to the winners of Central Asia.

For information, the cup of “Zakovat” represents the five pillars of golden light reaching upward. Each pillar is a symbol of a participating country, and the rays have traditionally symbolized the power of creativity, spiritual enlightenment, and creative energy.
