More than 10 million people use Facebook and Instagram in Uzbekistan – Meta
Meta is considering opening a representative office in the country.

A delegation of the Meta company that manages Facebook and Instagram visited Tashkent on a business trip, IT Park reports.
Meta’s Managing Director for Greater China, Mongolia and Central Asia George Chen and Partner Manager at Facebook, looking after Government, Politics and Advocacy sector Aurora Li held talks with the technopark’s management. The guests noted the potential of the region underestimated by the world IT-sphere.
According to the company officials, more than 10 million people in Uzbekistan use Facebook and Instagram.
Chen briefed the IT Park representatives about Meta’s developments in the field of the metaverse, as well as related areas of augmented and virtual reality (AR and VR).
Meta and IT Park discussed opportunities for cooperation in education, including teaching courses from an American company on AR and VR at IT Park University, a digital university created this year.
The parties also agreed to consider the possibility of opening a Meta representative office in Uzbekistan.
