Maximum speed on a number of streets in Tashkent may be reduced
On several streets in the center of Tashkent, the authorities plan to reduce the speed of traffic to 50 km/h, the city council of people’s deputies reported.
According to them, on all streets located inside the Small Ring Road, the speed will be reduced to 60 km/h. Currently, the speed limit is 70 km/h.
In addition, the speed limit will be reduced to 50 km/h on some parts of the following streets:
· Alisher Navoi;
· Makhtumquli;
· Amir Temur;
· Small Ring Road;
· Islam Karimov;
· Taras Shevchenko;
· Babur;
· Furkat;
· Bypass road of Amir Temur Avenue.
The above measures are introduced in order to fully ensure traffic safety on the streets, prevent and reduce fatal accidents, as well as create comfortable conditions for road users.
The issue of reducing the speed, introduced by the standing commission, will be considered at the next session of the city council of people’s deputies.
