Authorities in Uzbekistan remind visitors about simplified rules of temporary registration
In September 2020, the government adopted a resolution “On measures to simplify the procedure for registering foreign citizens and stateless persons in the Republic of Uzbekistan”, the Ministry of Justice reported.

According to the document, foreign citizens and stateless persons temporarily staying in the Republic of Uzbekistan reside on the basis of temporary registration with a national passport or travel document.
Temporary registration is carried out by applying to foreign citizens and stateless persons within 3 working days after entering Uzbekistan to the Migration and citizenship departments.
The period of temporary registration is calculated from 00:01 on the day following the date of entry of this person through the checkpoint of the state border of Uzbekistan.
