George Bush School to help improve skills of civil servants in Uzbekistan
As part of efforts to strengthen inter-academic ties, Ambassador of Uzbekistan to the United States Javlon Vakhabov met with Frank Ashley, Senior Dean of the George Bush School of Government and Public Service at Texas A&M University.

Reportedly, during the conversation, they discussed the prospects for involving the American side in the process of improving the system of training and advanced training of civil servants by establishing inter-academic relations with specialized universities in Uzbekistan, as well as organizing mutual exchanges of delegations.
In addition, the leadership of the George Bush School assured of their readiness to cooperate with Uzbek universities and departments in such areas as the introduction of a system of double-degree education in specialized areas, the organization of short-term, medium-term and master’s educational programs in the United States for representatives of the civil service of Uzbekistan.
The possibility of organizing a visit of teachers and students of the school to the republic for the exchange of experience, the development of joint programs and courses based on the latest methods of public administration was noted.
The Bush School was founded in 1997 in accordance with the philosophy of the 41st President of the United States, George W. Bush, who said that “public service is a noble mission”. This educational institution is one of the best universities in the field of training management personnel. Such world leaders as Barack Obama, Ban Ki-moon, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Condoleezza Rice, Ted Kennedy, Helmut Kohl, Dick Cheney, Colin Powell and many others made presentations at the Bush School.
