The sanitary-epidemiological welfare and public health service provided official information on this situation.

On September 28 of this year, 23 pupils of preschool education organization No. 8 applied to the department of infectious diseases of the medical association of the Kuyi Chirchik district of Tashkent region with complaints of nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, increased body temperature (37-39 degrees) and pain in the throat.

After medical examination, 15 of them were diagnosed with acute respiratory infection and admitted to the hospital. 8 children were allowed to go home in satisfactory condition (their parents refused to admit them to the hospital) after first aid.

Specialists of the Sanitary-Epidemiological Welfare and Public Health Service, Republican Scientific and Practical Medical Center of Specialized Epidemiology, Microbiology, Infectious and Parasitic Diseases were sent to Kuyi Chirchik district to study the situation on the spot and provide practical assistance to local specialists in the treatment of patients and anti-epidemic measures.

In the hospital, qualified medical services were provided to sick children, and samples were taken for relevant laboratory analyses. All patients whose condition improved after the procedures were allowed to go home until October 2.

According to the results of the analysis of samples taken from patients, Shigella dysenteriae sonnei bacteria were detected in 3 of them.

It was found that drinking and waste water systems, kitchen equipment, air intake ventilation system, and toilets are not fully complying with sanitary and hygienic requirements.

In addition, 4 of the employees working in the kindergarten did not undergo a medical examination.

Bacteria belonging to the group of intestinal coliforms were detected in samples taken from meals (daily samples) and food products, kitchen utensils and surfaces in the kindergarten.

A letter has been sent to the Ministry of Pre-School Education to eliminate identified deficiencies and prevent food poisoning among pupils of pre-school education institutions in the future.

It is reported that from September 30, 2022, the activity of the kindergarten No. 8 was temporarily suspended until the deficiencies were eliminated, and an administrative report was issued against the director of organization.
