A delegation of Uzbekistan, led by Preschool and School Education Minister Ezozkhon Karimova, finalized the agreement during their recent visit. The President of Uzbekistan initially proposed the initiative to establish the center during UNESCO’s General Conference, held in Samarkand in November 2025.
The agreement outlines trilateral cooperation between UNESCO, the Republic of Uzbekistan, and the Institute for Retraining and Advanced Training of Managers and Specialists of Preschool Education Institutions.
The center will provide training and professional development for education leaders and specialists, conduct research, support education policy analysis, and promote the exchange of best practices. Additionally, it will foster regional cooperation, strengthen international collaboration, and advance modern approaches in early childhood education.
The document was endorsed by Minister Karimova and UNESCO Director-General Khaled El-Enany. El-Enany noted that the center is poised to become a vital educational and expert platform for Uzbekistan and the wider region, helping to build professional capacity, promote new knowledge, and strengthen international dialogue.
