Uzbekistan and Tajikistan to open new checkpoints on border
The parties agreed to resume the operation of the Bekobod checkpoint on the Uzbek-Tajik border.
Tashkent and Dushanbe decided to open new checkpoints of international importance, IA Khovar reports.
The operation of the Bekobod checkpoint on the border will be resumed. This crossing point is located in the Tajik region Sughd. Through it, one can get to the Tashkent region.
During a recent meeting, the parties expressed interest in expanding cooperation between the relevant structures of the two countries and discussed proposals to strengthen the effective operation of customs services in the transportation of goods and products.
The issue of speeding up the procedure for customs inspection and preventing the blocking of vehicles at checkpoints at the border was also considered.
