Uzbekistan ranks third in Central Asia by average monthly wages
When comparing average monthly nominal wages in the five countries of Central Asia, Uzbekistan was ranked third.
In January-September 2022, the average monthly nominal wage in Uzbekistan amounted to 3.72 million soums ($335). Compared to the same period in 2021, the growth amounted to 24.9 percent, the State Statistics Committee reported.
The average monthly nominal wage includes additional payments, incentives, compensations and payments for hours not worked, as well as personal income tax and contributions to the trade union fund.
The State Statistics Committee used data from more than 3 million workers in various industries to calculate its number.
According to this indicator, Uzbekistan ranks third in Central Asia.
