Customs officers detain man who tried to smuggle more than 1.3 million rubles out of Uzbekistan
The man, who aroused the suspicions of customs officers, tried to escape to avoid inspection.
On November 3, at the border customs post "Farhad" in the Tashkent region, customs officers stopped a man who aroused suspicions while passing through the checkpoint.
They wanted to search the man to clear suspicions but he tried to escape from the search room. Border guards detained him immediately.
During a search in the presence of attesting witnesses, 1.35 million Russian rubles were found in the pockets of his jacket; the money was not declared in official documents and the man did not say anything about it during the oral questioning.
Currently, the customs authorities are conducting an inquiry.
